Privacy, with clarity.
Demo Mode uses simulated vehicle information. No external vehicle account or Fleet credentials are needed. The optional live map requests device location only after you start tracking.
What this demo stores
An opaque session cookie links your browser to a simulated vehicle in server memory. This includes settings, demo destinations you enter, schedules, and a limited command audit. Audit records contain action names and results, never destination text or credentials.
Your browser
A local preference remembers whether you completed the welcome tour. Routine edits stay in page memory. Live map coordinates and the visible route remain in browser memory and are cleared when the map panel closes. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or external fonts. Do not enter a real sensitive address into a demo destination.
Live map tiles
If you open the live map, OpenStreetMap tile servers receive ordinary network information and tile coordinates for the visible map area. If you deliberately search for a place or request directions, the search text is sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim and your current and destination coordinates are sent to the public OSRM demo server. CabinPilot does not save this information in your demo session.
Retention and control
Demo sessions expire after eight hours and are removed on a subsequent request, or when the server process restarts. You can export and delete the active session now. Hosting infrastructure may retain ordinary access logs separately; a deployment operator must publish its retention and contact details before public launch.
Future connected accounts
Fleet access is not active. Before it launches, this notice must be updated to identify the operator, processors, storage regions, retention periods, and support contact. Future OAuth tokens must be encrypted on the server and excluded from browser storage.
